Heartcode BLS Healthcare Providers Full course

Description: The Heartcode BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It's intended for participants who provide heath care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. For certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals.

Intended Audience: Healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel.

Heartcode BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Renewal Course
This online course provides a review for healthcare professionals who have prior CPR training. This program recognizes that healthcare professionals have knowledge and skills acquired from prior CPR training and years of patient care.

Remember there are two parts to completing the BLS E-Learning course and obtaining a course completion card. You MUST complete Part 1 before registering for this 2nd Part.

Description: The Heartsaver First Aid Course provides the skills to effectively assess and maintain life from the critical minutes immediately following an emergency until the arrival of emergency medical services personnel. The course also provides corporations with a complete health and safety training solution for First Aid, CPR and AED.

Intended Audience: Persons assigned to respond to emergencies in the workplace or community as well as those who want to learn first aid, CPR and AED skills. Some rescuers are required to take this course as part of their employer's efforts to comply with OSHA regulations, e.g., corporate employees, security guards, airline personnel, lifeguards and other individuals who want or need first aid training.

Description: The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is to provide the learner with:

  1. Information needed to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest

  2. Information and strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children

  3. The cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock or cardiopulmonary arrest.

Intended Audience: Pediatricians, house staff, emergency physicians, family physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who are responsible for the well-being of infants and children.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support :: Not currently offered at this site

Description: The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT) arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA and asystole), four types of prearrest emergencies (bradychardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) and stroke.

Intended Audience: Personnel staffing emergency, intensive care or critical care departments; emergency medical providers such as physicians, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency.
